About Us
About Us
The Kids Golf Foundation of Illinois was established in 1998 to introduce the kids of Illinois to the game of golf. We believe golf can provide children with opportunities for personal growth and career enhancement. Since our inception, we’ve touched more than 250,000 kids through our various programs.
Purpose
The Foundation serves as the customer service center for individuals and organizations within the state of Illinois who wish to our adopt programs and participate in events. We service our program sites in a variety of ways including individual meetings, site visits, program consultation, equipment loan/usage, and resources. The Kids Golf Foundation provides everything to program sites at no cost. In addition to teaching kids the fundamentals of golf, our programs and events teach participants important life skills that naturally go along with the game.
Impact
The success of the Foundation is evident in the number of diverse organizations that participate in our programs and events. Since 1998, over 200 organizations have been involved statewide; some of which include:
- Park and recreation departments
- YMCAs
- Boys & Girls Clubs
- Boy and Girl Scouts
- Schools
- Ministry Groups
