Kids Golf Foundation

Tee Level Clinics

Tee Level ClinicThe Foundation partners with a national organization called Hook A Kid On Golf, which offers several program models. Along with the Foundation staff, a Program Manual consisting of a step-by-step curriculum helps Site Coordinators in the organization and implementation of the program.

Hook A Kid On Golf is America’s most comprehensive youth golf program. The goal of Hook A Kid On Golf is for the sport to eventually be offered in every community in America, giving youngsters participating in youth sports such as baseball, basketball, football, and soccer the same opportunities to participate in the great game of golf.

Tee Level Clinics are designed to provide an easy-to-follow format for any youth organization, recreation agency, or golf course to use in the setup of introductory golf clinics. In addition to being taught basic swing fundamentals, there are life skill presentations such as rules and etiquette, drug and alcohol awareness, and golf course maintenance.

Each participant is provided with:

  • Starter Set of Golf Clubs
  • Tee Level Bag Tag
  • Golf Balls
  • Rules Book
  • Polo Shirt
  • Hat

The cost of the golf clubs and other items can be covered by grants that are funded through both the Kids Golf Foundation and the United States Golf Association. At the end of the clinic, participants get to keep their clubs and all other materials.

Participants that complete a Tee Level Clinic are eligible to participate in special
events through the Kids Golf Foundation. These events include Other Side Of The Green,
Thinking Outside The Tee Box, and more!

There is a one-time fee of $25 to become an official site. All sites must pay the fee and become an official Hook A Kid On Golf site before the Kids Golf Foundation can accept any Grant Applications. Each Hook A Kid On Golf program element has specific costs associated with it that can be covered by the Foundation Grant and/or the USGA Matching Grant.

“Through golf the kids learn not to hesitate; they learn to press past that barrier of fear.
The sport promotes an excellent venue to learn to take those steps, test boundaries,
and surround themselves with people who will encourage them.”
