COUNTRY Financial Supports KGF Programs with $30,000 Donation

SUGAR GROVE, IL – On Tuesday, October 19, 2021, COUNTRY Financial hosted a golf outing at Rich Harvest Farms to benefit the Kids Golf Foundation of Illinois, raising $30,000. The money will go to supporting the Foundation, one of the largest nonprofit junior golf organizations in the state, as it teaches children the fundamentals and life lessons of golf.

“Since the Foundation provides equipment and resources to program sites at no cost, we rely heavily on partners and donors,” said Michala Mika, Director of the Foundation. “I’m incredibly thankful for COUNTRY Financial and their thoughtfulness to not only host an event in support of the Foundation, but to also to make a sizable contribution.”

Formed by a group of farmers in 1925, COUNTRY Financial is an insurance agency with more than 3,000 employees and 2,000 representatives. They strive to help clients protect what matters and plan for a secure future. This is the second year COUNTRY Financial has hosted a golf outing at Rich Harvest Farms in support of the Foundation.

“COUNTRY Financial is committed to enriching lives in the communities it serves,” said Jeff Koerner, Regional Vice President at COUNTRY. We have been proud supporters of initiatives that improve opportunities for youth, including financial education, safety programs and other community outreach efforts. This sponsorship will help the Kids Golf Foundation continue to provide local youth with the opportunity to learn valuable life lessons such as sportsmanship, communication and education through the sport of golf.”

COUNTRY Financial shares many of the same values as the Foundation, such as integrity and leadership, and they both have a presence in many of the same communities.
