KGF Elementary School Clinics are a great opportunity for local school districts to experience a two–hour junior golf clinic instructed by Foundation staff, student-athletes, and volunteers. These clinics take place in our Indoor Golf Arena, which spans 15,000 total square feet and features a putting green, sand bunker, chipping area, and ample space for full swing stations- all of which serve as valuable teaching aids and provide abundant space for students to learn.
During these clinics, participants rotate through three stations: putting, chipping, and full swing where staff and volunteers help teach these basic fundamentals. During the stations, students use SNAG (Starting New At Golf) equipment and then transition to using traditional golf clubs. Students will not only learn more about golf, but also the life lessons that accompany the game such as sportsmanship, etiquette, and course maintenance.
KGF and Underwriter Laboratories (UL) have formed a partnership that has allowed the Foundation to incorporate UL Safety Smart® programs into our clinics. Children will learn how they can stay healthy and fit from Timon and Pumbaa and how to be Safety Smart with their own health and wellness. An activity packet is provided for students to complete and learn more about Safety Smart habits.
A certificate is presented to each student at the end of the clinic to recognize their hard work and participation for the day. After the clinic, students and staff are invited to tour our car museum and carriage exhibit that is on the Rich Harvest Farms property.
Students, volunteers, and faculty are invited to attend Elementary School Clinics at no charge. Typically, the only expense for schools is transportation as it is the responsibility of the school to reserve, coordinate, and pay for transportation.
